Upgrades coming to Bezanson Hall thanks to provincial grant

Aug 2, 2020 | 8:27 AM

The province has approved an application from the Bezanson Agricultural Society for funding through the Community Facility Enhancement Program.

According to Finance Minister and Grande Prairie-Wapiti MLA Travis Toews, the $9,937 grant will be used for upgrades to the Bezanson Memorial Hall.

“It’s related to an alarm system that if it was enhanced, then it could increase the capacity allowed in their building.”

Toews adds he is very pleased to see the Bezanson Agricultural Society apply for and receive this grant.

“The committee there that looks after the facilities do a great job. And like so many of the communities in the region, they are a tight-knit community, and these facilities are important to them.”

An electrical upgrade will also be done with this funding, in order for the alarm system to be installed.
