Storm wrap up regular season on the road this weekend

The Grande Prairie Storm will wrap up their 2018-2019 AJHL regular season with a pair of games in the capital region.

It all begins Friday night when the club visits the Spruce Grove Saints.

This will be the 6th and final meeting of the season between the Storm and the Saints, with Spruce Grove leading the season series 3-2.

Standings wise, there isn’t anything on the line for the Storm as they are set to play the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in the opening round of the AJHL playoffs which begins on Thursday in Fort McMurray.

However, there is some meaning to Friday’s game for the Saints.

Spruce Grove enters the game one point back of the Bonnyville Pontiacs for 2nd in the North division with each team having two games remaining on the schedule.

Face-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
