Grande Prairie native Bannister commits to University of Wisconsin–Superior
Grande Prairie native Zach Bannister has committed to the University of Wisconsin-Superior for the 2020-21 hockey season.
Bannister has spent the last two-plus seasons playing in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, where he spent time with the La Ronge Ice Wolves, Melville Millionaires and the Flin Flon Bombers.
Last season, the six foot, 190 pound right winger registered 51 points in 57 games while splitting time with all three teams.
It was in the SJHL in 2018-19, while with the Ice Wolves, where Bannister posted a breakout campaign, potting 28 goals and 42 assists for 70 points in 56 games.
