Section of Range Road 72 closed for culvert replacement

Road crews are replacing the culvert on Range Road 72, and the road will be temporarily closed to traffic from Township Road 704A to Township Road 710.

Commuters are advised to find detour routes around this stretch of road by using Township Roads 710 and 704A, as well as Range Roads 73 and 74.

This work is part of the County of Grande Prairie’s $42-million investment in road construction projects. Those funds include $2-million designated towards repairing roads damaged by spring floods, and $515,000 for this year’s Ditch Cleaning Program.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of the week, weather permitting.
