Storm double Wolverines to open pre-season schedule

A pair of power play goals helped power the Grande Prairie Storm to a win in their pre-season opener.

Ethan Strang and Cole Broadhurst both lit the lamp with the man advantage, as the Storm doubled up the Whitecourt Wolverines 4-2 in Whitecourt on Friday night.

Brett Meerman and Ty Toews also scored for the Storm, while Strang added an assist to join Jake Cella (two assists) with two point nights.

The game was the first of four between the two teams, as they have been paired up as a co-hort pre-season group by the AJHL.
