The Storm would strike 47 seconds into the powerplay. Simon Hamilton would score on the powerplay, set up by Denson Bamber and Jaydon Gordey to tie the game up at 1-1.

Just before the end of the second the Raiders got their lead back with a goal from Carmelo Crandell. The Raiders would take the 2-1 lead into the third period.

In the final frame, Landon Hedges would tie the game up for the Storm at 2-2, 8:27 into the third. His goal was set up by Denon Bamber and Connor Klassen.

The game would stay tied for the rest of the way and both teams would walk away with a point after their first game of the season.
