Grande Prairie RCMP detachment closed after two COVID-19 cases confirmed

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say two employees from the Grande Prairie RCMP detachment have tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement issued Thursday night, the RCMP say that as a pre-caution, front counter service will not be open to the public until further notice.

“We are working with Alberta Health Services and (are) following all protocols they have put in place.”

They say there will be no disruption to front line police service for any general or emergency calls.
