Guhle signs entry-level deal with Canadiens
After being selected with the 16th overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2020 NHL Draft, Prince Albert Raiders defenseman Kaiden Guhle and the Habs have agreed to terms on a three-year entry-level contract.
Guhle’s contract will carry an average annual value of $925,000 per season. At the NHL level, he will earn $832,500 per season, while at the AHL (American Hockey League) level he will make $80,000 a year. His contract also provides him with a $92,500 signing bonus, per season.
Last year in Prince Albert, Guhle scored 40 points in 64 games for the Raiders.
Guhle spent from 2006-2010 playing minor hockey in Grande Prairie, before his family moved to Sherwood Park. He was first of three former Grande Prairie Minor Hockey players selected in the 2020 NHL Draft, including defenceman Ethan Edwards and goalie Garin Bjorklund.
