The October 13 crop report from Alberta Agriculture says 92 per cent of the Peace Country crop had been combined by that date.

That was well ahead of the five-year average of 65.9 per cent and the 10-year average of 75.3 per cent.

The report says 99.5 per cent of the peas, 92.2 per cent of the barley, 91.8 per cent of the spring wheat, 90.6 per cent of the canola, and 90.3 per cent of the oats had been combined.

Four per cent of the canola was still in the swath while nine per cent of the oats, eight per cent of the spring wheat, seven per cent barley, and six per cent of the canola were still standing.
