Ponoka’s Lambert, Australian Miller claim victory on opening night of PBR Canada Finals

Ponoka’s Zane Lambert and Australian Callum Miller were the winners on night one of the PBR Canada Finals at Revolution Place on Thursday.

Both scored a total of 173 points on two rides to be named co-champions of the PBR Shell Rotella Challenge.

Kindersley, Saskatchewan’s Dakota Buttar was third on the night with 172.5 points and remains the leader in the PBR Canada National Standings.

Cadogan, Alberta’s Lonnie West scored a 90 on his second ride, the highest score of the night, to earn a tie for third with Buttar.

Fort St. John’s Jake Gardner had 84.5- and 85.5-point rides, good for a 170 total and sixth overall for Thursday’s round.

Night two starts at 7 p.m. Friday back at Revolution Place with the PBR Wrangler Chute Out. It is being shown live online at ridepass.com.
