Snowfall warnings issued for parts of the Peace Region

There is a snowfall warning out for the Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning forecast area.

The warning covers Birch Hills, Saddle Hills and Clear Hills counties, the MDs of Fairview, Spirit River, Smoky River, Peace, and Big Lakes, along with Northern Sunrise County and the County of Northern Lights.

Environment Canada says 10 to 15 centimetres of snow is expected when the snow starts falling around Noon Tuesday near Manning. The weather office adds the heaviest snow should stay north of the Peace River.

A similar warning is out for the High Level-Rainbow Lake-Fort Vermilion-Mackenzie Highway forecast area.

There is also a snowfall warning out for the BC Peace. Environment Canada says heavy snow will start tonight and continue through Tuesday. There could be 15 to 25 centimetres of snow in that time.

There is also a winter storm warning out for the Pine Pass area. Blowing snow and 20 centimetres of snow is predicted for Monday night and Tuesday. Drivers are asked to postpone non-essential travel.
