Catriona Le May Doan Canada’s chef de mission for 2022 Winter Olympics

CALGARY — Catriona Le May Doan will be Canada’s chef de mission at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

The two-time Olympic gold medallist in speedskating will lead the Canadian team in Beijing.

Le May Doan was the women’s 500-metre champion in 1998 in Nagano, Japan.

She became the first Canadian to successfully defend an Olympic title four years later in Salt Lake City.

The 49-year-old from Saskatoon lives in Calgary and is the chief executive officer of Sport Calgary.
