One man is dead after a truck crashed and rolled over on Highway 2 near Sucker Creek First Nations in the early hours of Tuesday.

High Prairie RCMP, along with Emergency Medical Services and High Prairie Fire Services arrived on the scene at around 6:15 a.m. After a preliminary investigation, it was determined that the truck, which was heading west, went off the road, hit a driveway and then rolled. Road conditions were icy at the time of the crash, according to police.

The 49-year old male and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased on the scene. The RCMP is not releasing his name, but do say he is from Slave Lake.
