Paul Coffey & Co. team up with Grande Prairie area disposal company

Hockey Hall of Fame member and Edmonton Oilers legend Paul Coffey was in Grande Prairie on Tuesday morning.

Coffey was in the Swan City representing Environmental 360 Solutions (E360S), a company he has been a partner with for just over two years. E360S is currently one of the fastest growing waste service providers in Canada and has operations across the country.

Back on November 1, E360S officially merged with Alliance Disposal, a disposal company that is based in the County of Grande Prairie, so it can help continue to grow it’s base across western Canada.

“We came to partner up with Alliance Disposal, with Warren Toews and his wife Kendra, and provide them with the capital to build their company and make it even bigger and better than it already is,” said Coffey. “We’ve been in talks for a while and he’s (Toews) built a fantastic business here.”

Alliance Disposal has been in the Grande Prairie area since 2010.

The business began with one roll-off truck and 39 roll-off bins. Since then, the company has continued to grow and has added new equipment to expand their service offerings and capacity in the Peace Region.

Toews, the President and COO of Alliance Disposal tells EverythingGP that partnering with E360S was a great opportunity they were presented with.

“It was a really exciting opportunity for us to get in contact with E360S and to be part of their group of companies so that we can help grow and still offer the same service that we’ve offered forever here.”

“We’ve won customer service awards here through the chamber in the past and we want to make sure that we’re servicing our customers at the same expectation levels as they already have. This is a good opportunity for us to take the next step and continue.”

With the merger complete, Coffey explained why he felt it was important for him to get involved in the disposal industry.

“It’s always something that’s interested me. I think that with my background being sports is somewhat very second nature to me, and hockey is very exciting, but I’m always trying to do different things.

“Garbage isn’t going anywhere and I think what Warren’s built here is fantastic and we’re coming along not to change it, but to help in anyway we can.”
