Grande Prairie RCMP charge two following traffic stop

Dec 3, 2020 | 2:09 PM

The Grande Prairie RCMP have charged two people with unauthorized possession of identity information following a traffic stop on December 1.

Mounties conducted the stop on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. They located a vehicle parked at a gas station with two occupants. Further investigation into the vehicle revealed that the licence plate was not registered to the vehicle.

During the search of the vehicle, Mounties also learned that the driver and passenger both had outstanding warrants. The rest of the search turned up stolen mail, as well as a notebook and documents that contained several individuals’ personal information.

Thirty-seven-year-old, Daniel Campbell and 40-year-old Vanessa Jordan of Grande Prairie have both been charged with 59 counts of unauthorized possession of identity information and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Campbell and Jordan are scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie court on December 21.
