The north and central Peace region are under a snowfall warning from Environment Canada, where 10-15 centimetres of snow is expected to fall by Thursday afternoon.
The warning covers the Peace River, Fairview, Manning and High Prairie areas, as well as Birch Hills, Clear Hills and Saddle Hills Counties, as well as Spirit River and Rycroft.
The weather office says heavy snow will begin Wednesday evening and continue until Thursday afternoon.
They warn drivers to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions, as visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
