Two in hospital after shooting in Grande Prairie

The Grande Prairie RCMP are on scene at a residence in the city where they are investigating a shooting.

Authorities say two people have been taken to hospital with what are believed to be gunshot wounds after police received reports of the shooting shortly before 11 a.m. Friday.

RCMP remain on scene, while the Grande Prairie RCMP General Investigation Section and RCMP Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate this incident.

Police do not believe this was a random act and are asking anyone with information on this to come forward to the Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5701 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
