Jan 27, 2021 | 4:49 PM

The Grande Prairie RCMP have laid charges against a 36-year-old Grande Prairie man in connection with an investigation into allegations of sexual assaults, which allegedly took place between 2016 and late 2020.

RCMP in the city say they received reports of alleged sexual offences that had taken place over the four-year period back in December of 2020.

Police say the female victims involved in the alleged incidents were known to the accused.

RCMP then arrested 36-year-old Philip Woodrow of Grande Prairie on January 12, who is now charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference.

Woodrow has been released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on February 24.

The Grande Prairie RCMP are continuing their investigation and are asking the public to come forward with any similar type incidents in the Grande Prairie area.

Anyone with information can come forward to the Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5701 or their local police.
