Second case of COVID-19 reported at Whispering Ridge Community School

The Peace Wapiti Public School Division says a second case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in an individual from Whispering Ridge Community School.

The division says the individual was last at the school on Thursday, January 28, and a letter was sent home to families on Sunday upon learning of the positive case.

The school remains open for in-person classes for all students and staff not identified as a close contact. The division adds the school has been disinfected.

“PWPSD and WRCS wish the individual a safe and speedy recovery, and will continue to work closely with AHS to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff.”
