Two new COVID-19 outbreak sites listed in Grande Prairie area
Two new COVID-19 outbreak sites have been announced by Alberta Health in the Grande Prairie area.
Tom McMillan with Alberta Health says an outbreak has been linked to the Shell Gold Creek site near Grande Prairie, where there have been six cases to date. All cases are considered active.
An outbreak has also been listed at the Grande Prairie Council for Lifelong Learning. Seven cases have so far been linked to the facility, with five of those considered active and two recovered.
As for outbreaks linked to continuing care facilities in Grande Prairie, McMillan says a total of 92 cases have been linked to the outbreak at Prairie Lake Supportive Living. Of those, 82 have recovered, three are considered active and seven deaths have been linked to the home.
