Brier, Scotties draws announced

Brad Gushue and Beaverlodge’s Geoff Walker’s Team Canada will play Ontario’s John Epping in Draw 1 of the Tim Hortons Brier on March 5.

Gushue’s rink will go in as Team Canada after winning last year’s Brier, which occurred shortly before the onset of the pandemic.

Kevin Koe’s wild card team will play Nova Scotia in Draw 1.

Meanwhile, the Scotties Tournament of Hearts will start a week from Friday on Feb. 17.
