High Prairie traffic stop leads to drug seizure

On July 9th at 5:20 a.m. the High Prairie RCMP conducted a traffic stop on 53rd in High Prairie which resulted in the seizure of a variety of drugs.

Two individuals were arrested at the scene as a result.

A search of the vehicle was also conducted where amounts of Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), Ketamine, Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), and Cannabis were seized.

29-year-old Trina-Lynn L’Hirondelle of Falher and 30-year-old Michael Monteith of Edmonton are facing charges under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs Substances Act. 

Their first court appearance is on Monday, August 27th in High Prairie Provincial Court.
