The Grande Prairie Storm have announced that forward Max Giangualano has committed to play for the University of Concordia Edmonton Thunder of the ACAC for the 2021-2022 season.

Giangualano has spent the last season and a half with the Storm. He came over in a trade with the Canmore Eagles at the trade deadline in 2020.

The 20-year-old, four-year AJHL veteran got off to a hot start this season, having scored three points in his first four games. In the 2018-19 season with the Canmore Eagles, Giangualano had a career-high 44 points in 54 games.

“I am very excited and appreciate the opportunity to be part of Concordia for the next four years,” said Giangualano.

Giangualano is expected to be in the Storm lineup when they return to the ice in March.
