Peace Country cleans up at Country Music Alberta Awards
The Peace Country cleaned up at the 10th annual Country Music Alberta Awards, which were presented virtually on Sunday night.
Grande Prairie’s Tenille Townes claimed two awards, including Female Artist of the Year. This is the third time Townes has claimed Alberta’s top female country artist award, with her last win coming in 2012.
Townes also claimed the Single of the Year award for her hit song “Come As You Are”, beating out the likes of Mackenzie Porter and Spirit River’s Aaron Goodvin.
Goodvin didn’t walk away empty handed though, as he earned the Male Artist of the Year award. Goodvin beat out Brett Kissel, Gord Bamford and Jade Eagleson for the honour.
