Michael “Mike” William Morley, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Kingston, ON, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the QEII Hospital at the age of 70 years.
Mike was raised on a dairy farm in Elginburg, ON. He started his career of being a baker in Kingston General Hospital. From there he continued as a baker in Burlington, ON, before he moved to Edson, AB, where he built his house in 1986. He was a foreman at the mine and a hunting guide. After Edson, he moved to Grande Prairie and became a Bakery Manager. Mike then moved to Edmonton, AB, in 1991, where he had his son Keaton in 1995. He and Keaton lived in Edmonton together until they moved back to Grande Prairie in 2014, and Mike retired in 2019.
He was caring, witty, loyal, hardworking and innovative. Mike loved to hunt, fish, golf, watch sports, including his son play hockey, and spending time with his great-niece Mya.
Mike will be sadly missed by his son Keaton; sister Jean (Butch) Gould; as well as nieces, nephews, and family back home.
He was predeceased by his father Edward Morley and grandparents George and Dorris Morley.
The Cremation has taken place.
