UPDATE – One in custody after unfolding event in Peace River

One man is in custody after RCMP in Peace River responded to a call of a possible armed and barricaded individual inside of a home in the community.

Upon receiving the report just after 8 pm Friday night, police blocked off an area near 84th avenue and 98th street. 

Nobody was injured and the area has since been re-opened to the public. 

The man’s identity will not be released.

RCMP continue to investigate.
