Grande Prairie pair charged following drug trafficking investigation

A drug trafficking investigation in Grande Prairie has led to charges against two city residents, as well as the seizure of drugs and firearms.

Grande Prairie RCMP, alongside help from ALERT Grande Prairie and the Grande Prairie RCMP Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant at a home in the area of 101 Avenue and 89 Street on February 12, following complaints from Hillside area residents.

Upon search of the home, authorities seized a Winchester 30-30 Rifle, a Remington 810 Shotgun, a loaded Glock .45 handgun and a “large amount” of assorted ammunition

Officers also seized 160 Grams of Methamphetamine, six litres of Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate (GHB), 33 Grams of Cocaine and just under $5,000 cash.

Grande Prairie residents Shenine Hoffman (39) and Landon Letendre (18) are now both facing several drug and firearms related charges as a result of this investigation.

Both are scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on March 24.
