RCMP open investigation into death of cow near High Prairie

The RCMP have opened an investigation into the death of a cow found alongside Township Road 742 near High Prairie.

At approximately 8:25 p.m. on March 28, officers responded to a report of a slaughtered cow along the side of the road.

The caller said they saw three black trucks leaving the area at high speeds before discovering the deceased cow and filing the report with the police.

The cow appeared to have been dragged from a nearby field to the road, and two of its legs were missing.
