Emissions Reductions Alberta’s Food, Farming and Forestry Challenge grants to be given out Tuesday
The Alberta Government is awarding grants to fund 17 project under Emissions Reductions Alberta’s Food, Farming and Forestry Challenge.
The grants, totaling $33-million, will go to support projects that support long-term competitiveness and stimulate growth in Alberta’s agriculture, agri-food, fibre and forestry sectors.
The funding will provide near-term capital to innovators in these industries, while also identifying opportunities and solutions for long-term economic recovery, investment attraction, job creation and emissions reduction.
Over 150 applicants were submitted for this project, which was launched in June of 2020, and a total of 38 projects were short listed. Those applicants then had to submit Full Project Proposals and give in-person presentations.
