Toronto FC looks to finish deal for Venezuelan international winger Yeferson Soteldo

Toronto FC has come to an agreement to land Venezuelan international winger Yeferson Soteldo as its third designated player, according to several sources.
Major League Soccer and TFC have finalized a transfer deal with Brazil’s Santos FC for the 23-year-old. But a source said personal terms with the player had yet to be concluded, although that was expected to follow.
The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because the acquisition had not been made public yet.
The five-foot-three Soteldo fills the spot left by Argentina’s Pablo Piatti, whose option was not picked up by the MLS club after last season.
