COVID IN SCHOOLS

Charles Spencer High School moving classes online for two weeks

Apr 26, 2021 | 3:31 PM

Students at Charles Spencer High School in Grande Prairie will be moving to online classes for two weeks starting Tuesday. A number of COVID-19 cases and close contacts at the school have led to operational issues.

Principal Chris Dextrase says the division applied to Alberta Education to move online amid the growing strain on available staff.

Classes will be temporarily moving online from Tuesday, April 27 through to May 7, with students returning to the classroom on Monday, May 10.

“Students are expected to be attending online during normal class times,” says administration, in a Facebook post. “Please contact the school if your child requires a Chromebook or other materials.”
