Three men charged in Rycroft man’s death

Three men have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 20-year-old Rycroft, Ab. man.

Michael Bonin’s body was found on a forest service road north of Hope, B.C. last April.

26-year-old Ryan Watt, 20-year-old Joshua Fleurant and 27-year-old Jared Jorgenson were all arrested over the weekend.

IHIT says in a release that it can’t get into the specifics surrounding evidence or motive because the case is now before the courts but investigators believe the homicide was not random.

It has also released a statement from Bonin’s mother saying he was a loving, helpful and loyal young man who had lots to live for and she hopes those responsible for taking his life are held accountable.
