Apr 29, 2021 | 5:59 AM

UPDATE (10:06 a.m.): The freezing rain warning for the Grande Prairie area has ended.

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Grande Prairie area.

The warning affects the City and County of Grande Prairie, as well as the Municipal District of Greenview.

The weather office says patchy freezing rain will fall through the morning.

The rain may cause roads, sidewalks, walkways and parking lots to become icy and slippery. The public is advised to be extra cautious while walking or driving in these conditions.
