Up and down weekend for GPRC teams

It was a great weekend for both of the GPRC basketball teams, but a forgettable one for the volleyball clubs.

Both the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams earned a pair of victories over TKU over the weekend, with the women earning their first two victories of the season.

The Men demolished TKU in both of their games, 110-68 Friday night, and 102-78 Saturday.

The Women’s games were much closer, as they edged TKU 80-67 Friday evening, and then narrowly got by them 54-50 Saturday afternoon.

The Volleyball teams didn’t have the same success as the basketball clubs.

Both the Men’s team and Women’s team lost both of their games to TKU.

Friday night the Men lost in five sets and were then shutout on Saturday.

The Women fell in four sets Friday and were also blanked in their second meeting with TKU.

All four GPRC teams will be back in action this weekend.

The basketball teams will be home to Concordia on Friday and Saturday, while the volleyball teams hit the road to face Concordia.
