Three Grande Prairie residents charged in drug trafficking investigation

Grande Prairie RCMP have laid charges against three individuals following a drug trafficking investigation.

On April 19, Mounties executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of 102 Street and 107 Avenue.

During the search officers discovered and seized a large quantity of drugs consisting of:

  • 569 mL GHB
  • 118 grams Methamphetamine
  • 103 tablets of Prescription Medication
  • 42 tablets Alprazolam
  • 21 grams Cocaine
  • 15 grams Fentanyl
  • 14 tablets Oxycodone
  • 2.6 grams Heroin
  • 21 tablets of unidentified substances

Officers also seized two airsoft handguns, $6,543 in cash, and items consistent with drug trafficking.

Renae Arnold (36) and Jason Holtz (41) were arrested and charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x6
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose x2
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

Carol Gaudet (40) was also charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Following a judicial interim hearing, Arnold, Holtz and Gaudet were all released from custody, and all three individuals are due to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on May 19, 2021.
