May 10, 1948 – May 17, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother Pat. She was born May 10, 1948 in Grande Prairie, Alberta and passed May 17, 2021 at the QE II hospital in Grande Prairie, Alberta at the age of 73.

Pat did all her schooling in Grande Prairie. Pat married her sweetheart Dennis McAusland, on September 3, 1966 in Grande Prairie, Alberta and they started their family shortly after getting married. Dennis worked for the Alberta Wheat Pool and they moved to a couple different stations until finally settling down in Spirit River AB in April of 1969 where they still reside. Their family was complete in 1970 and Pat stayed at home to raise their two children. Pat worked a few odd jobs over the years until she found her true calling as a cook at Pleasant View Lodge, with her seniors who she loved dearly. When Pat retired, she spent her time enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and playing cards at the Happy Hour Club.

Pat is survived by her husband of 54 years Dennis, daughter Diana (Gordon) Trarback, son Rob (Trisha) McAusland, grandchildren Sandi (Terry) Kuzemchuk, Daniel Trarback, Logan McAusland and Alysha McAusland, great grandchildren, Avery, Jayce, Everleigh and Joseph Kuzemchuk, sister Kathy Ziniuk, brothers Eugene (Betty), Lorry (Penny) Landry, brothers in law Darrel, Roy (Linda), Fred (Ellen) and Doug McAusland, sister in Law Fran Brulotte (Raph Wills) and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was pre-deceased by her father and mother Frank and Joan Landry, brothers Joe, Fred and Dale Landry, sisters Delia Friess, Mary Thayer and Denise Peterson and father in law, Bill McAusland.

At Pat’s request there will be no Service
