Intersection of 108 Ave. & 96 St. closed for construction starting Tuesday

The City of Grande Prairie says the intersection of 108 Avenue and 96 Street will close for a period of time starting on Tuesday, June 8.

Wapiti Gravel Suppliers will be replacing a manhole and installing two new catch basins. The closure is scheduled from June 8 to June 20, and work is anticipated to be finished by the end of June.

The city says all detours will be clearly marked.

Concrete and asphalt work, pavement markings and traffic signal rehabilitation are all a part of the intersection improvements.

Drivers are reminded to watch for workers in all construction areas and to pay attention to all posted signage.
