Storm sign two local players

The Storm have signed a pair of Grande Prairie-raised players.

Evyn Hansen and Wesley Golden are both 15 and both played for the GPAC Ernie’s Sports U18 AAA Storm last season.

Hansen is a 6′, 165 pound forward. Golden is 6’4″, 200-pound defenceman.

“We are very excited to add two great young men to our team.,” said Storm Head Coach/General Manager Mike Vandekamp. “Wesley is a big, right-shot defenceman, who can skate and has skill along with great instincts for the game.”

“Evyn is a good-sized forward who has good skill and plays with plenty of grit and tenacity. Both players will be a big part of the future of the Storm.”

Both will be at Storm camp later this year.

The AJHL says training camps can start August 20. Exhibition games would start August 27 with the regular season getting going September 17.

Schedules are due out next month.
