Wildfire danger rated high in Grande Prairie Forest Area

Alberta Wildfire says the fire danger in the Grande Prairie Forest Area is once again high.

They say fires can ignite easily and spread quickly under current conditions, and that it is important to use extreme caution in forest areas.

Anyone who sees a wildfire is asked to report it immediately by calling 310-FIRE.

Since March 1, 2021, there have been 42 wildfires burning nearly 61 hectares in the Grande Prairie Forest Area.

There are currently no fire bans in the Grande Prairie area. A complete list of fire bans across Alberta can be found here.
