Stinky smell evacuates the Crosslink County Sportsplex Friday

The Crosslink County Sportsplex in Clairmont is back open after reports of a potential gas leak. People were evacuated from the building this afternoon.

The Sportsplex confirms that they believe the “bad smell” was a well burning nearby and making its way into the ventilation system.

ATCO Gas and fire crews were called to the building with no readings of a leak detected. Crews gave the all clear at 4:45 p.m. and people were let back in. 

All hockey game-goers and other users will be welcome to use the facility this evening.
