Another severe thunderstorm watch issued for Grande Prairie area Friday

The Grande Prairie area has been placed under a severe thunderstorm watch Friday Environment Canada.

The weather office says conditions are favourable for severe thunderstorms to develop which could bring with them strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop in west central Alberta and move east through the afternoon and evening.

A severe thunderstorm watch has also been issued for the Hinton-Grande Cache area, as well as the Whitecourt and Fox Creek area.
