Peace Regional RCMP are investigating after a man was reportedly robbed at gunpoint while outside of his vehicle along Highway 986 Thursday afternoon near Cadotte Lake.

The incident was reported to police at around 1 p.m. on August 19, where the victim said he was approached by another male in a minivan who got out of his vehicle and pointed a firearm at him, demanding money.

A second vehicle, an SUV, then arrived with several occupants, one of whom exited and pointed another firearm at the victim.

The victim then ran into the bush to flee the area. He later returned to find his vehicle had been stolen.

Police say the vehicle stolen from the victim is a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta with Alberta license plate EVP 559.

While RCMP search for the victim’s vehicle, they are also on the lookout for the two suspects in this incident. The first suspect is described as a man in his early to mid 30’s, medium complexion, standing 5’9” tall with an average build. He has a shaved head with a braided mohawk and an Edmonton Oilers tattoo on his right forearm. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and jeans.

Meantime the second suspect is described as a man in his late 20’s with a medium complexion and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a dark ball cap, a brown sweater and blue jeans.

As for their vehicles, the first suspect vehicle is described as a navy blue 2000’s model Dodge Caravan with tinted rear windows. The second suspect vehicle is a red, newer model Ford SUV with chrome trim.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the suspects or location of the involved vehicles to contact Peace Regional RCMP detachment at 780-624-6611 or their local police.
