Motorists reminded to slow down in County of Grande Prairie school zones
The County of Grande Prairie Regional Enforcement Services is reminding residents to slow down while driving through school zones.
From August 31 to September 3, Enforcement Services issued four tickets, an increase of three from the same time last year. One ticket this year was issued after a driver going 70 km/hr.
Throughout the first week of school, Enforcement Services did a total of 27 patrols in Clairmont, Whispering Ridge, Sexsmith, Wembley, La Glace, Valhalla Centre, Bezanson, Elmworth, Hythe and Teepee.
Along with the four speeding tickets issued, officers also issued 10 warnings and five tickets for other violations and infractions.
