Wilfred Relland
February 25, 1947 – September 2, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilf. He passed away peacefully at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie after a battle with cancer.
Wilf was born and raised in Carrot River, Saskatchewan. He met his wife Muriel in 1972 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. In 1976 they moved to Sexsmith, Alberta with their three children where he worked at the canola plant until its closure in 2002. He then went to work for Peak Energy until his retirement in 2016.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and boating.
Wilf is survived by his wife Muriel; his son Darcy (Ashley); his daughters Anna Marie (Nathan) and Cindy (Mike); his son Daryl; grandchildren Taylor, Brandon, Kole, Dylan, Justin, Ryan, Emily, Krystinalyn, and Joshua; as well as his sisters Therese, Pat, Germaine; his brothers Donald, Bob, and Bruce.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Frank and Lucille Relland, and his sister Annette.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday September 10 at 3:00 p.m. at Bear Creek Funeral Home. Please note that masks will be mandatory. For those unable to attend the service a livestream will be provided on Bear Creek Funeral Home’s YouTube Channel.
