A frost advisory has been issued for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area.

The weather office says overnight low temperatures are forecasted to drop to or below zero degrees celsius.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.

People are asked to take preventive measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

The advisory is in place for a majority of the province, including the Peace River, High Level and Fox Creek forecast areas.
