City adopting Restrictions Exemption Program at rec facilities

Sep 17, 2021 | 6:10 PM

City Hall in Grande Prairie says it will be adopting the province’s Restriction Exemption Program at some facilities.

As of Monday, proof of vaccination, a recent negative test result, or proof of a medical exemption will be needed for people 12 and older using the Eastlink Centre, Coca-Cola Centre, Bonnett’s Energy Centre, or the Dave Barr Centre.

Youth user groups are not subject to the new rule.

The city is encouraging those who do not already have one to create an online registration account to make check-ins at these facilities easier. The city is also encouraging anyone coming to get there earlier than usual so staff can check documentation.

The sign-up page for the online registration account can be found here.

A list of what forms of proof of vaccination are acceptable can be found here.
