June 2, 1958 – September 17, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we mournfully announce the passing of Lucian Oliver Pinto on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the age of 63 years.

Oliver was born in Karachi, Pakistan on June 2, 1958, the third of four children to Anicet and Aurora Pinto.  He worked in the oil and gas industry since the age of 18.  He later met his beloved wife Luciana and they spent 38 beautiful years together and raised 3 children; Warren, Wesley and LInzel. The family later moved to Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada where they settled.

Oliver continued working in the oil and gas industry while in Canada and later went on to own and operate a successful business with his family.

Oliver was a hardworking husband and father who always provided for his family, putting their needs before his own.  He was very passionate about his store, Panago and spent countless hours there, making sure that everyone was doing their part.

Oliver was a family man and his decisions in life were always to better his family.  Sadly, on September 17, 2021 the family lost an incredible husband, father, and grandfather.  Olivers memories and values will always be lived through his family the many people that had the pleasure of meeting him.

Oliver is survived by his spouse, Luciana Pinto, Warren Pinto (son), Ruby Pinto (daughter in law, Wesley Pinto (son), Samantha Pinto (daughter in law), Linzel Easton (daughter), Mike Easton (son in law) Annie Easton, Felix Easton, and Eleanor Pinto (grandchildren) and Charlotte Nunes (sister).

He was predeceased by his father Anicet Pinto, mother Aurora Pinto, and  brothers, Gerald and Joseph.

A Viewing for Oliver will be held on Wednesday, September 22, from 7-9pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home 11802 99 Avenue Grande Prairie, with a maximum of 50 attendees at a time.

A funeral service for Lucian will be held on September 23,2021 at 1pm at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 10404 102 Street, Grande Prairie. Please note that due to current COVID restrictions, attendance at the funeral service is limited to invited guests, however, friends and family can watch the livestream by visiting bearcreekfuneral.com and using the livestream link in his obituary.

Everyone is welcome to join the funeral procession to the Grande Prairie Cemetery following the service at about 2pm.
