Hockey Canada cancels event set for Dawson Creek

Sep 27, 2021 | 5:06 PM

Hockey Canada says the ongoing pandemic has forced it to cancel three events.

That includes the National Women’s Under-18 Championship that was to take place in Dawson Creek from October 31 to November 6.

The 2020 edition that was to be held in Dawson Creek was also cancelled also because of the pandemic.

The World Junior A Hockey Challenge that was scheduled to take place in Cornwall, Ontario, and the Para Hockey Cup that was to be held in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, have also been cancelled.

Hockey Canada says in a statement that the pandemic and the vaccination status of some international teams, left it no choice but to cancel.
