Grande Prairie RCMP seeking to identify shooting suspect

Oct 25, 2021 | 4:12 PM

The Grande Prairie RCMP are putting out a call for the public’s help to identify a man they allege was involved in a shooting at a home in Grande Prairie earlier this month.

RCMP say they were called to reports of shots being fired near Patterson Place just before 9:30 p.m. on October 12.

Authorities say an unknown man went to speak with the male victim at the home. When the victim went to the door, the suspect allegedly fired shots after the victim shut the door.

The victim was not physically injured during the incident, and police say the suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle that was parked nearby.

The suspect is described as having a medium build with black/brown hair and a dark complexion. The suspect is described as having a tattoo on his face near his eyebrow.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, brown ball cap, and a light-coloured collared shirt.

The investigation is ongoing and police believe this was not a random act.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-830-5700 or their local police.
