Two wins in a row

Brooks’ two-goal night leads Storm over Dragons

Oct 31, 2021 | 8:37 AM

A two-goal night for Zach Brooks meant two wins in a row for the Grande Prairie Storm for the first time this season.

The 20-year-old forward scored on the power play in the second period and added the insurance marker late in the third to help the Storm down the Drumheller Dragons 4-2 Saturday night.

The win follows a 4-1 victory over the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Friday, giving the Storm (now 4-12-3 on the season) their first win streak of the season.

Hudson Foley and Ethan Strang were the other goal scorers for the Storm Saturday, who both added an assist in the win as well.

The two goals from Brooks and one from Strang now give them each eight goals on the season, tying them with Edge Lambert for the team lead this season.

Goaltender Aidan Feddema made 24 saves for his third win of the season.

The Storm will now hit the road for their next three games, starting Friday in Sherwood Park. The team will return home on Wednesday, November 10 when they take on the Lloydminster Bobcats.
